We will be having our first SUDS social event of the year, which will also be a new member educational meeting - on February 25 at Bar of America.  Starts at 5:45, cost to current members is $20, which covers a glass of wine and appetizers.  Hope to see you there!!

SITD's Celebrating the Best for Women Awards Reception showcases our club’s continuity of commitment to women and girls of Truckee, at all stages of their life journey, with programs that embody our great Soroptimist mission.

We will celebrate the recipients of our Violet Richardson Award, which recognizes girls engaged in volunteer action, our signature Live Your Dream Award which gives access to education to women head of household. Our newest program, our Career Advancement Scholarship, provides for continuing education, and finally, our 2025 Ruby Award recipient, locally known as our Women of Distinction. This award honors a woman who has made an extraordinary difference in the lives of women and girls.

Paddle board or kayak at Boca. We will meet at the boat launch at 7:30 to allow for early calm water. 

Bring your picnic dinner and drinks to enjoy the music of 'Boot Juice'. We’ll meet on the left lower area around 5:45 to save spots. 

It is time to thank our old board and welcome in our new board! Our Installation Dinner will be held Thursday, June 18 at 5:00 at Lisa Saqui’s home. Jacob Bird of Tahoe Taste will be catering again and we will be charging $35 per person for a delicious dinner. Please sign up early so we can give Jacob a headcount. The annual Committee Sign Up Program Meeting is July 7, 2026 at 5:30pm.  This will be a fun meeting to learn more about the committees that run our club and to sign up.  Please sign up for the pot luck under volunteer sign ups.  

SUDS Time!   Mark your calendars for our potential member SUDS on July 21 at pizza on the hill! Please ask your friend circle if anyone is interested in joining SITD. We’ll have an info session at 4:00- PLEASE NOTIFY Lisa Simone or Constance Ledna if you have a potential new member that will arrive at 4:00pm. Members come at 5:00. Members cost will be $20 for a glass of wine and pizza. Potential new members are free. 

Meet at Coffeebar Donner Pass Road parking lot to carpool to trailhead of Frog Lake Overlook. 
DISTANCE: Approx 6 miles out and back
DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Difficult – 1,600ft elevation gain on well mark trail that tops out at 8,653 feet.

Join us at Truckee Regional Park front left quadrant to dance to Beatles music! This is a popular band so come early. I'm going between 5:30 and 5:45. BYOB and apps. 

Join us at campsite 19, Boca Campgrounds for stargazing the Perseid Meteor showers during the new moon. Potential for 100 meteors per hour during peak time of midnight to 3:00 am so take your nap. We will go after music in the park but join us any time after. Bring chair, blanket, drinks and/or snacks. Call me 408-204-7149 if you're joining us.

Join us at Tahoe Waterman’s landing in Carnelian Bay for a fun way to beat the heat! Bring your chair and umbrella, board or kayak, or rent one there. Or bring a floatie to relax in the water. Bring your own drinks and a snack to share. Text me 408-204-7149 if you’re joining us. We’re going at 7:30 to paddle before the water gets rough but can save you a spot on the beach if you’d like to meet us later.
